Hi, welcome to this weeks post :) enjoy x
@atasteoftheglobe (Georgia) and I made Italian pizzas. To make these pizzas we had to use mixing bowls, wooden spoons, measuring cups and spoons, chopping boards, rolling pin, oven tray and knives. To make the pizza base the dough needs to me smooth and slightly sticky so that it can be easily rolled. First you have to mix ingredients, which will result in a slightly crumbly mixture. Once you've completed that, the dough will need to be kneaded so that it will result in the perfect consistency. To knead dough you press the palm of your hand on it, fold over and keep repeating. We wanted our pizzas to have a rustic shape, not a perfect circle. Professional chefs may have a technique or special tool to create the perfect circle. Mozzarella cheese is used because it melts well which makes the toppings on the pizza stick to it. It is also very tasty. For this activity, many skills were required, such as, reading recipes, using equipment appropriatly, choosing toppings that complement one another and to be safe while using the kitchen. I followed personal hygiene and safety rules - 9.5/10 I used all utensils and equipment in an appropriate matter - 9.5/10 I worked well with other members of the class - 10/10 I read and followed the recipe accurately - 10/10 For the next practical I will try and improve my washing up routine. I enjoyed what I made, it was delicious and I highly suggest this recipe to anyone who is looking for a quick meal.
